About me…

Hamish is an award winning composer, musician and interactive music designer, with a deep passion for musical story telling.

After being one of the most sought after young musicians in Canberra, Hamish went on to complete his Bachelor of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), after receiving the Faculty of Music Scholarship at the University of Melbourne’s Queen’s College. At the VCA, Hamish composed music for many award winning and critically recognised projects, ranging from film and television, to theatre and art installations.

Hamish continued his studies by obtaining a Masters of Arts Screen, specialising in Music, at the illustrious Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), garnering a high distinction average for his efforts. His time at AFTRS allowed him to learn under industry leading screen composers, as well as collaborate with some of Australia’s best up and coming film makers, documentarians, and animators. Hamish’s Masters thesis on interactive music was awarded the Innovation Fund through AFTRS, as well as having the research featured in an academic paper.

From the iconic Sydney Opera House to Hollywood’s Chinese Theatre, Hamish’s music resonates across the globe, as he continues to explore his ability to help bring stories to life.
